Happy New Year

So I have found a new way to scrapbook. There is a way to print off my blog and get it put into a hard back book. I normally scrapbook all of the important events in our lives, but I am having a really hard time trying to find time to get it all done. So, starting tomorrow I am going to really do a lot more blogging. I figure that this way I am journaling, scrapbooking, and keeping up with friends in one shot. I am always looking for an easy way to do things.

I hope that everyone has a happy new year. We are spending New Year's Eve at mom and dad's with them and Angie and Adam. We are going to be pretty laid back, but of course we will have Rock Band fired up. Mom got the new Beatles Rock Band game, and it is awesome. Jordan walks around singing "We all live in a yellow submarine." So cute. And Hayley is always singing "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." Nice!! We are going to party like it's 1999!!! Have a great night, and don't forget to kiss your sweetie when the clocks strikes Twelve!!!
Oh, and Happy Birthday #23 Abbey!!!

Christmas 2009

Christmas this year was a lot of fun. The kids talked their dad into staying at grandma and grandpas house again this year. So we went. They all got what they wanted. Jordan wanted a computer. Brock wanted real football gear. Hayley wanted a real puppy. Chandler didn't really care, so he got a helicopter, becasue he loves airplanes. (I uploaded my pictures backwards sorry.)

Hayley got her puppy. He is a puggle. His name is Lucky. She absolutely loves him. He will be the most loved puppy ever. She can't stand it when he sleeps. She wants to play. He is pretty fun though. Brock looks awesome in his football stuff. He wanted the real stuff so he could really play. He has worn it all weekend. Jordan got a V-Smile. It has some pretty fun games for him to play. Chandler loves his "airpwane" and he also got some blocks.

The kids all got ice fishing poles too. They love to go ice fishing with their dad. I am not sure why. It sounds miserble to me. Grandma and grandpa got Hayley a kid camera and got the boys remote control cars. We have all had our heels run into many times.

All in all we had a great Christmas. The kids all seemed to be happy with what they got.

And....It's gone

My dear Hayley and I fight every single day when it is time to comb her hair. She gets mad, she cries, the more she cries, the harder I pull. I had had it. I kept threatening her that we were going to go get it cut, and she always refused. Well, I think she finally had had it as well, because she finally agreed. So, we ran down the road to my friend who cuts hair today, and this is what we came home with...

BEFORE

AFTER

I absolutely love it. I just can't believe how old she looks now. She has always had such beautiful hair, and she will always. I guess it was a good thing, because she loves it too. Now Mattie is dying for hers to be cut too. She is going to have to do a lot of convincing to her parents I think.

Chandler's #2

I cannot believe that my baby is 2. He is such a fun little boy. I had an impromptu party for him this weekend, because, my days are filling up faster than I thought. He loved blowing out the candles. We had to re-light them about 5 times so he could blow them out more.

Some of the many reasons that makes Chandler so sweet:
*His irresisitable smile.
*His groovy dance moves.
*Everything is "MINE!!!"
*His sweet spirit.
*His large love for life.
*His love and passion for airplanes.
-----As we were at Temple Square during the narrative of the Nativity, Chandler looks up and sees the helicopters and airplanes in the night sky and was totally fascinated by them. All anybody around us could hear was "airpwane, airpwane, mommy."
Chandler is such a sweet little boy. I can only hope that we can avoid the terrible 2's and just carry on like normal. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHAN.

Christmas Lights at Temple Square

Every year we try to make it down to Salt Lake to see the lights at Temple Square. We were not really sure if we were going to make it this year, until Spence called me from work and said, "Let's go tonight." I packed the kids in the car, Mattie included, and we drove to Salt Lake to see the lights. It was not too cold, and thankfully too, because Chandler would not leave his coat on. I looked like the best mom ever with him running around coatless.

The kids watched the little narrative they have about the Nativity, and loved it. Hayley wanted me to take a picture of everything. I love this picture of Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. I think that it is absolutely beautiful.
After seeing the lights, we loaded back in the car and drove home. It was a quick trip and full of lots of memories. I love these little traditions that our little family has. I know that some people think that we are crazy for drive to Salt Lake and back in a matter of a few hours, but my kids love to go. I can't help but to count all of my blessings this time of year. Health, happiness, good jobs, wonderful gospel in which we firmly base all of our beliefs, a wonderful husband, and 4 beautiful children. I couldn't be happier in my life than I am right now.

My Dad, the Bishop

Yesterday at church my dad became the newest bishop of the Downey 2nd ward. The poor man has been stressed out to the max. He hardly got to enjoy his Thanksgiving Dinner. I know that he will be a great bishop, and his ward will always come first. He has always been a great example to all of us, and I love him tons.

Phineas and Ferb Birthday

Jordan had a great 4th birthday. He couldn't decide what kind of cake he wanted, and he finally decided on Phineas and Ferb. Angie is amazing. She made this cake for him, and it made his whle birthday.
All Jordan wanted for his birthday was a bat and a mitt. Pretty easy huh?

He LOVES Spongebob Squarepants.

We all know that he is not shy. Now quite sure where that came from.

Jordan had a wonderful birthday. He is such a great little boy. Always and always keeps us laughing.

GO MVHS CLASS OF 1998

I was going through some boxes today, and I couldn't believe what I found. Talk about the good old days. I found this picture of a bunch of us girls who, for some unknown reason, dressed up in basketball and cheerleading uniforms and got our picture taken. We had so much fun in High School. It is fun to find stuff like this. Sorry guys, I hope that I didn't embarrass anyone!!!

I Am Alive and Well

Holy cow what a month. I have been running non stop, and I found a minute to let everyone know we are still here. I have started taking the CNA class in October. I really enjoy it. It is every Wednesday and Friday all day. I am going to start clinicals next week, so that should be fun. I have also been crazy doing the McCammon Elementary Schools Fall Carnival. Talk about a pain. It is pretty sad that there are sooooo many kids in that school and no parents to help out. Me and one other mom did most of it and got a little help at the end by a few more. It is over now, and a great relief to me.

Spence and I also celebrated an anniversary in October. 9 years. I cannot believe what a great 9 years that I have had. Spence is amazing and he puts up with so much. He his never, never, never grouchy, so that leaves only me to be grouchy. He is an awesome dad and a wonderful husband.

The kids had a great Halloween. I will post pictures when I have a few more minutes. It was fun, and they are still sorting through candy.

Jordan is having a birthday this next week. The big #4. He wants a bat and mitt for a present. I think that I can probably come up with that. Is should be fun.

Chandler has decided that he wants to go on the potty. He is not quite 2 yet, but he loves to go on the potty. He wears underwear most of the day and usually keeps them dry. We'll see if he is really serious or if it is a fluke that I could have him potty trained before 2. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I have some way cute pictures to post in a few days. Brock and Hayley's school pictures, Halloween, and of course Jordan's Birthday. I will get to it I promise.

My Sweet Grandma

I can't believe that one year has gone by so quickly. One year ago yesterday September 17, my dear sweet grandma went home to her Heavenly Father. I miss her so much. She has always been a great example and light in my life. Being the first of my grandparents to pass, brought on a whole new feeling of emotions to me. I know that this past year has been extremely hard on my mom, but I also know that grandma had been there to hold her when she is down, and to help dry her tears. We all miss grandma terribly, but we also know that we will be together again.
Abbey and I played "You Light Up My Life" at the funeral, and so this song will always have a different meaning to me now.

HAYLEY'S 6TH BUILD A BEAR BIRTHDAY

I am finally getting around to posting Hayley's Birthday. Hayley turned the big #6 on August 25. I can't believe that my little baby girl is 6. She has been anticipating turning 6 for some time now, because her grandma Peggy takes the kids to Build A Bear for their 6th birthdays.
So, grandma took Hayley and Sophie (who will be 6 in December) to Salt Lake to pick them out a bear. Hayley fell in love with this little monkey she named "Lucy." Grandma let them both pick out 2 outfits, 2 shoes, a pair on underwear, and an accessory. It took Hayley forever to pick out what she wanted. It had to be just right. But she loves her Monkey. She puts it to bed every night in her doll bed, and gets her dressed every day.
Hayley also wanted a Spongebob and Patrick cake for her birthday. Well being the not so wonderful mother that I am, I threw a little party together last minute for her. Didn't have to time to order a cake. Angie didn't have time to make a cute Spongebob cake, so using the not so craftiness that I have, drew these lovely looking characters on her cake. And all that matters is that she loves the cake...she loved the cake. Hayley had a great birthday, and yes, she is doing better with school.

First Day of School...Happy or Sad??

Many yawns after a very hard morning
Brock was so excited to have a "shoulder" bag this year.

I actually did get one smile out of her that morning
But that was all.
Her awesome backpack and her cute hair

Of course, Jordan and Chandler didn't want to get left out.

Brock looks like she is poisonous or something.

I thought that the first day of school was supposed to be an exciting event. Well for Brock it was, for Hayley, not so much. She had herself in such a worry that she has not let me out of her sight for over a month. The first day of school comes, and she cried all morning long. I got her to school and she went with me to drop Brock off, and I took her to her class and she had a come apart. All of the other mom's felt so bad for the little girl who was crying. Her teacher Mrs. Waldram, (JennaLee Stuart) called me a little later and told me she calmed right down. She ended up having a great day.

Brock as always is my easy going little guy, who gets a long with almost everyone, and he had a fantastic first day of school.

BEAR LAKE

Last week we decided to go down to Bear Lake for the day. My mom, Angie and her kids went down too. It was so beautiful. The water was perfect and it wasn't too blazing hot.
Hayley really wanted to build a sand castle, so Spence helped her. It even had a moat and bridges. They worked pretty hard on it.

Jordan loved to collect little tiny sea shells.

Chandler and grandma enjoying the warm shallow water.
Love ya mom!!!!!!!!
I guess that Hayley was a little worried about drowning!!
Brock wanted to be buried in the sand, so Spence buried him and turned him into a mermaid or I guess I should say merman. He thought that was pretty funny.

Chandler absolutely loved playing in the sand. He threw sand into that water all day. I also think he ate his fair share of sand too.

Brock also dug out a little chair in the sand. He liked to sit and relax in it.

And spence was worn out, and got a little snooze in the shade for a few minutes.
We had a great time at the lake even if it was for only a few hours. Can't wait to go back!!

T-Ball and Coach Pitch

What a great season of T-Ball and Coach Pitch we had this year. Now that it has been over for quite some time, I finally found a few minutes to post these pictures. Hayley decided that she wanted to play T-ball this year. She didn't love it, but I told her that she had to finish the season since she started it. I guess that I am a mean mom. She pulled through each game, because she knew that there was a treat after them. That's my treat loving girl.

Brock, hopefully for his dad's sake, will always love baseball. He was thrilled to not be in T-ball this year. He was so good and always had a smile on his face. He was sad that this season ended, but he always is practicing with his dad for next year.

And of course Jordan found the mud puddles during the games. I can always count on him to find the water. That's my boy.

Sorry I forgot to flip this picture, and I am not going to start over my computer is way too slow.
