Happy 10th Spencer

I have the most amazing husband in the world.  We are celebrating our 10th Anniversary today.  It has been the best 10 years ever.  Spence is so patient with me and my kids, and he would do anything and everything for us.  I am so glad that I am able to be married to my very best friend.  He is the light of my life and I can't imagine my life without him by my side.   Happy Anniversary Spence.  I love you so much!!!

First Day of School

The first day of school was a much anticipated event at our house this year.  Brock was excited to go back and see all of his friends.  Hayley was excited to get to go every day in 1st grade, Jordan was excited to start Pre-school.  Jordan didn't start for a couple of weeks after the others so he was super ready when it was time.  Poor Chandler wants to go so bad and had to get his picture taken too.
They all love school and do very well at it.  I hope that they have a good year, and always like school the way they do now.

My Little Bookworm

Hayley loves to read.  She always has ner nose in a book.  She has been trying really hard to get The Book of Mormon read for Primary.  She woke early one morning and tried to read.  Spence got up to go do chores and found her alseep on the couch with the book open on her lap.  She is such a sweetie with a brain that never stops.

Bear Lake

We took a day and went to Bear Lake this summer.  The kids had so much fun even with the strong winds.  They decided to bury Spence and make him look like a mermaid.  It took a while but had a blast.  I think it looks a little claustrophobic.  Spence had sand everyone.  His head looked gray from all the sand stuck to his head.  It was pretty funny.  All in all it was a pretty fun day at the beach!!

Hiking Oxford Peak

This summer Spencer and I wanted to hike one of the mountains around our area.  We decided to try hiking Oxford Peak.  Spencer's sister Heidi, her husband Jeremy, and her son Brady went with us.  It was a long, hot, and sometimes steep trail.  Brock did awesome!!  He never complained that he was tired or hot.  He outhiked me by a long ways.

A little over half way there we came upon a spring that was running into a trough.  It was a nice break for the kids.  They played in the water, dunked their heads in, and splashed each other.
Brock and Brady also collected flowers for me the whole way.  I kept most of them until we got back, and took a picture for the memories.  When we got back we were so tired and definately sunburned when we got back.  I could not walk correctly for a few days after, but it was so fun, and I can't wait to hike another.

Ragnar Relay

This May I got asked to run in the Ragnar Relay in Utah by April and some people in her ward.  I only started running in March, but I accepted the challenge and started training.  Our team was called "Baby got Wasatch Back."  I didn't meet any of my teammates until the night before.  I am glad that they had trust in someone they never even met.  It was one of the hardest yet most rewarding things I have ever done.  I pushed my body to so things I never thought I could do.  It was a blast and I am so glad that I got to do it with April.  We shared lots of tears through triumph and tiredness, but I would definately do it again.
(Sorry about the profanity, but I loved the sayings on some of the vans.)
