Who Rocks The House. . .

Who rocks the house? The mighty Eagles rock the house, and when the Eagles rock the house they rock it all the way down!!!

Hayley had another cheer camp at the high school yesterday, then they cheered at halftime during the basketball game. She was so excited this year. She thought that it was so cool that she got to be lifted up at the end. If you could see her face a little closer, she kind of has a panicked look. She did a really good job, and now she wants to be a cheerleader when she grows up.

It's Official

So, I can proudly say that I am not just a High School Graduate anymore. I have officially finished and passed the CNA course. Yes, it was only 4 months long, but I have discovered that to do anything, big or small with kids around is a little more difficult. I am so grateful to Spence for giving me the little push to go to school. I really did enjoy it, and I am looking forward to start again this next summer.
So, if anyone needs a blood pressure taken, sheets changed, or any other of the dirty work items that nurses don't want to do, let me know. :)

The Splurge

We are planning this trip to Disneyland, and of course we have to drive. I can't afford to fly all of us to California. We knew that our old car just might not make it down and back. I have loved my van, but it was time to get something a little newer. It is always so scary to make a new purchase like this. I had my heart set (I thought) on a Suburban, or something of the sort. We went to Logan to car shop. I have been to every lot in Pocatello a thousand times. We told the salesman what we wanted, and he said that he thought that we would be happier with this, since we won't be towing anything. And the gas mileage will be way better. Well, we drove it and I fell in love. It is a Honda Odyssey. The kids are mad because it doesn't have a TV. Boo hoo, we never had TV's growing up. Although it would be nice while driving to California.
I hope that it runs good for us for a really long time.

IT STARTS...HOORAY!!!

I said a while back that Chandler was ready to go on the potty. Well, between my class and Christmas, I was never home in enough consecutive days to really work on it. Well last week, we decided that it was time. He is doing so good. Of course you have your few accidents, but he has done very well. I can't believe that I am almost done with diapers. I have changing diapers for almost 8 years straight. That is a lot of diapers. What a relief, not just to me, but to my check book too.

Jerry Bed Mom

My little Chandler loves Tom and Jerry. Every time that he gets remotely tired he says. " Mom, Jerry Bed." He loves to lay in my bed and watch Tom and Jerry reruns over and over. Most of the time he will fall asleep, but now he is learning that he doesn't like the commercials so he will get up when one comes on. I need to go buy a continuous movie with no commercials. I have been recording some new episodes for him, but I forget. It is on at 4:00 am Sunday mornings. Who remembers to set the timer?? He also has to have pink (strawberry) milk in a sippy cup. (That one is mostly me. I am not going to let him have a regular cup in my bed.)

I love his quirkiness. He sure makes me laugh.

New Year's Day Snow

We had a good snow storm on New Year's Day. My kids were dying to go sledding. We took them down to Spence's parents house and pulled out the sleds. They have a small hill right out their back door. It was so fun. It was very snowy and blowy, but they were troopers. Chandler even stayed out most of the time. Of course, you are wondering where Hayley's hat is? She wouldn't leave it on. She said that her ears weren't cold though.

They had so much fun going down the hill together. Nothing pleases a mother more than to hear her children giggle. They would fall off at the bottom, and giggle until they could not get back up the hill. I loved it.

Of course, we couldn't finish the day off without a snowman. Hayley and I built this. Spence was going to help, but had to go get the milkman unstuck at the barn. Brock, Jordan, and Chandler went in, so Hayley and I worked and worked. Grandma only had a baby carrot for a nose, and had some gum drops that we used for the face and buttons. When I went back to look at it later, the gum drops were starting to dissolve. Hayley broke the sticks off of a bigger branch herself for the arms, and was so proud. I love it when we get to spend the day together. Those to me are always the best memories.
