My Sweet Grandma

I can't believe that one year has gone by so quickly. One year ago yesterday September 17, my dear sweet grandma went home to her Heavenly Father. I miss her so much. She has always been a great example and light in my life. Being the first of my grandparents to pass, brought on a whole new feeling of emotions to me. I know that this past year has been extremely hard on my mom, but I also know that grandma had been there to hold her when she is down, and to help dry her tears. We all miss grandma terribly, but we also know that we will be together again.
Abbey and I played "You Light Up My Life" at the funeral, and so this song will always have a different meaning to me now.

HAYLEY'S 6TH BUILD A BEAR BIRTHDAY

I am finally getting around to posting Hayley's Birthday. Hayley turned the big #6 on August 25. I can't believe that my little baby girl is 6. She has been anticipating turning 6 for some time now, because her grandma Peggy takes the kids to Build A Bear for their 6th birthdays.
So, grandma took Hayley and Sophie (who will be 6 in December) to Salt Lake to pick them out a bear. Hayley fell in love with this little monkey she named "Lucy." Grandma let them both pick out 2 outfits, 2 shoes, a pair on underwear, and an accessory. It took Hayley forever to pick out what she wanted. It had to be just right. But she loves her Monkey. She puts it to bed every night in her doll bed, and gets her dressed every day.
Hayley also wanted a Spongebob and Patrick cake for her birthday. Well being the not so wonderful mother that I am, I threw a little party together last minute for her. Didn't have to time to order a cake. Angie didn't have time to make a cute Spongebob cake, so using the not so craftiness that I have, drew these lovely looking characters on her cake. And all that matters is that she loves the cake...she loved the cake. Hayley had a great birthday, and yes, she is doing better with school.
