Happy Mother's Day

I want to wish a very happy mother's day to my mom, and to Spence's mom. My mom is such an inspiration to me. She never stops until she knows that all of her children and grandchildren are taken care of. She has always been one of my very best friends.
Spence's mom has raised a wonderful son. She should feel very honored for that. I have greatly enjoyed being apart of her family, and I am so grateful for everything that she does for me and my family.
I hope that you both had a great mother's day, and we love you so much.

Happy Easter Everyone

So I thought that maybe we could get a few Easter pictures before church. Well you all know how that goes. You are never ready quite in time, and then all you hear is "the sun is in my eyes," and "Mom, Brock is standing too close to me." The joys of children. I didn't really get one that I loved, but hey, I was in a hurry. So, I have eyes closed, or tears, and even the family cat "Dasher". Enjoy!!

Another Birthday at our House

I want to wish a very happy birthday to Spence this past Saturday. He is a wonderful husband, and a fantastic father to our four children. I keep teasing him that he is 30, but it doesn't seem to bother him too much. I love him so much, and am so happy that we get to be together!! Happy late birthday Spence.
Sorry no pictures, my computer is having major issues right now.

Happy Birthday to Brock.....and me.

A very happy 7th birthday to my Brock on Sunday March 15th. What a memorable day. I had Brock on my 22nd birthday. It was the longest, most painful, and the most absolutely wonderful birthday present ever. He was 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 22 inches long, and has not stop growing since.

He is now in 1st grade, and doing great. I can't believe that I have a 1st grader. Brock, I hope that you have a wonderful day and keep being the great big brother that you have always been.
The picture on the bottom was me at 3 months in the sunsuit my Aunt Marsha bought me, and the picture on the top was Brock at 2 days. Talk about a ton of hair.
Now a word from my mother...
What is it that they say about your third child - no pictures, no keepsakes, when did they grow up - when your busy with everyone else! Amber seems to not have suffered any from my neglect, if anything she has learned for this experience. When she was young and throughout her high school years I said her middle name was "aim to please". Amber "Aim to Please" Armstrong. She was a delight and I truly don't remember having teenage spats and problems with her. Guess what - she hasn't changed a bit! She is the busy kool-aid mom with room for everyone and a good time for all. We were moving them into their house, she had 3 little kids and had to stop in the middle to cook dinner for a lady in her past ward who had just had a baby. I would have been looking for a good excuse and she had one and didn't use it! She truly didn't learn from my example. Her sister, April, gave her a great compliment. She said Amber is "the happiest mom I know". I love that. She has great kids, a wonderful husband and is a terrific wife and mom - and one of the best 4 daughters that I know. I love you Amber Jo !!! Mom

My Little Wrestler

Last week Brock started Wrestling. The matches are the most wild and chaotic things ever. There are hundreds of kids running everywhere, and oddly enough, nobody gets lost. This was Brock's first match this year. This first little boy is Nicki Vaughan's boy Reese. Brock gave him a good run for his money, but Reese ended up beating him by points.

This next boy was a whole head taller than Brock, and Brock was a little nervous. No problem for Brock though. Brock pinned him in the second round.

This is a wonderful activity for Brock. He thinks that he needs to stay in shape to be a good wrestler. I have never seen a young boy so determined to do his best. He tries so hard and absolutely loves to wrestle.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am so ready for Spring. I am ready to put away coats and gloves, and pull out the shorts and flip-flops.

Weekend fun in Boise

This past weekend Spence, Brock, and I went to Boise to visit my sister April and her family. We got there on Friday and went to Cabelas, dinner and a movie. On Saturday we went Skiing at Bogus Basin all day. It was so much fun, and for those of us (like me) who are not very good at skiing, there is alot of fairly flat runs. It was a blast.

This is Brock and Bailee eating lunch .
Brock and his killer goggles! What a cutie pie!
Brock and Bailee happy with full bellies!
I hardly ever have a picture of just Spence and me, so I guess this is the best I get, with the hat hair and all.

Overall our weekend was so much fun. A HUGE THANKS to my mom and dad for keeping Hayley, Jordan, and Chandler. They had a great time at Grandmas and Grandpas house. And another huge THANKS to Matt and April and the kids for a very fun weekend. We are going to make this an annual trip, and next year, Hayley and Jordan get to go!!!
