Happy New Year

So I have found a new way to scrapbook. There is a way to print off my blog and get it put into a hard back book. I normally scrapbook all of the important events in our lives, but I am having a really hard time trying to find time to get it all done. So, starting tomorrow I am going to really do a lot more blogging. I figure that this way I am journaling, scrapbooking, and keeping up with friends in one shot. I am always looking for an easy way to do things.

I hope that everyone has a happy new year. We are spending New Year's Eve at mom and dad's with them and Angie and Adam. We are going to be pretty laid back, but of course we will have Rock Band fired up. Mom got the new Beatles Rock Band game, and it is awesome. Jordan walks around singing "We all live in a yellow submarine." So cute. And Hayley is always singing "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." Nice!! We are going to party like it's 1999!!! Have a great night, and don't forget to kiss your sweetie when the clocks strikes Twelve!!!
Oh, and Happy Birthday #23 Abbey!!!

Christmas 2009

Christmas this year was a lot of fun. The kids talked their dad into staying at grandma and grandpas house again this year. So we went. They all got what they wanted. Jordan wanted a computer. Brock wanted real football gear. Hayley wanted a real puppy. Chandler didn't really care, so he got a helicopter, becasue he loves airplanes. (I uploaded my pictures backwards sorry.)

Hayley got her puppy. He is a puggle. His name is Lucky. She absolutely loves him. He will be the most loved puppy ever. She can't stand it when he sleeps. She wants to play. He is pretty fun though. Brock looks awesome in his football stuff. He wanted the real stuff so he could really play. He has worn it all weekend. Jordan got a V-Smile. It has some pretty fun games for him to play. Chandler loves his "airpwane" and he also got some blocks.

The kids all got ice fishing poles too. They love to go ice fishing with their dad. I am not sure why. It sounds miserble to me. Grandma and grandpa got Hayley a kid camera and got the boys remote control cars. We have all had our heels run into many times.

All in all we had a great Christmas. The kids all seemed to be happy with what they got.

And....It's gone

My dear Hayley and I fight every single day when it is time to comb her hair. She gets mad, she cries, the more she cries, the harder I pull. I had had it. I kept threatening her that we were going to go get it cut, and she always refused. Well, I think she finally had had it as well, because she finally agreed. So, we ran down the road to my friend who cuts hair today, and this is what we came home with...

BEFORE

AFTER

I absolutely love it. I just can't believe how old she looks now. She has always had such beautiful hair, and she will always. I guess it was a good thing, because she loves it too. Now Mattie is dying for hers to be cut too. She is going to have to do a lot of convincing to her parents I think.

Chandler's #2

I cannot believe that my baby is 2. He is such a fun little boy. I had an impromptu party for him this weekend, because, my days are filling up faster than I thought. He loved blowing out the candles. We had to re-light them about 5 times so he could blow them out more.

Some of the many reasons that makes Chandler so sweet:
*His irresisitable smile.
*His groovy dance moves.
*Everything is "MINE!!!"
*His sweet spirit.
*His large love for life.
*His love and passion for airplanes.
-----As we were at Temple Square during the narrative of the Nativity, Chandler looks up and sees the helicopters and airplanes in the night sky and was totally fascinated by them. All anybody around us could hear was "airpwane, airpwane, mommy."
Chandler is such a sweet little boy. I can only hope that we can avoid the terrible 2's and just carry on like normal. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHAN.

Christmas Lights at Temple Square

Every year we try to make it down to Salt Lake to see the lights at Temple Square. We were not really sure if we were going to make it this year, until Spence called me from work and said, "Let's go tonight." I packed the kids in the car, Mattie included, and we drove to Salt Lake to see the lights. It was not too cold, and thankfully too, because Chandler would not leave his coat on. I looked like the best mom ever with him running around coatless.

The kids watched the little narrative they have about the Nativity, and loved it. Hayley wanted me to take a picture of everything. I love this picture of Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. I think that it is absolutely beautiful.
After seeing the lights, we loaded back in the car and drove home. It was a quick trip and full of lots of memories. I love these little traditions that our little family has. I know that some people think that we are crazy for drive to Salt Lake and back in a matter of a few hours, but my kids love to go. I can't help but to count all of my blessings this time of year. Health, happiness, good jobs, wonderful gospel in which we firmly base all of our beliefs, a wonderful husband, and 4 beautiful children. I couldn't be happier in my life than I am right now.
