It's Official

My darling Hayley graduated from Kindergarten tonight.  I am so proud of her.  They had a cute little play that she has worked so hard on memorizing her lines for.  They sang the cutest songs, and performed a little for us.  I am finding that the older my kids get, the more emotional I get.  I didn't cry, but a few times I was so proud of her that I may have swelled up a time or two.

The photo company that takes their school pictures took these graduation pictures for free.  They are so sweet, but makes me kind of scared.  I know that in the blink of an eye, she will be graduating from High School.  I need to cherish every moment that I have with my little girl.  Congratulations Hayley!!  We are so proud of you.

I Made It!

Last weekend I went to Boise to run a 10k with my sister April.  She has been into running for a couple of years, and talked me into to running as well.  I started training a couple of months ago.  It was a great experience.  There was hundreds of people running, and the atmosphere was so energizing.  I ran the entire 6.2 miles in 1 hour and 4 minutes.  Faster than I ever thought that I could run.  Right when I turned to corner to cross the finish line, I looked up and Brock was leaning over and looking for me.  I got emotional when seeing my kids.  Kind of a weird thing to cry over, but I felt like I had accomplished a great thing.  I havn't ran in years, and it felt great. My mom went with me to watch my kids, and I am very grateful for her doing that.
I have learned that running is such a natural high for me.  Now, April has talked me into running in a 12 person, 188 mile relay in June.  I am very excited, with a small dose of nervousness.  It will be a great experience!!!

Chandler's Shiner

Chandler got his first black eye a couple of weeks ago.  You can't see it very well, but it was pretty sore.  He was at my friends house and fell onto his face.  It didn't blacken at first, but by the next day it was black and swollen.  He looked pretty tough.

Hayley's Dance Recital

Hayley had so much fun at her Dance Recital this year.  She never stopped smiling and sang every word to the songs while she was dancing.  She had a fantastic teacher who made it so fun for her.  I never knew that Hayley's hips could shake like they did!!  She had a wonderful time, and can't wait for next year.
