A very happy 7th birthday to my Brock on Sunday March 15th. What a memorable day. I had Brock on my 22nd birthday. It was the longest, most painful, and the most absolutely wonderful birthday present ever. He was 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 22 inches long, and has not stop growing since.
He is now in 1st grade, and doing great. I can't believe that I have a 1st grader. Brock, I hope that you have a wonderful day and keep being the great big brother that you have always been.
The picture on the bottom was me at 3 months in the sunsuit my Aunt Marsha bought me, and the picture on the top was Brock at 2 days. Talk about a ton of hair.
Now a word from my mother...
What is it that they say about your third child - no pictures, no keepsakes, when did they grow up - when your busy with everyone else! Amber seems to not have suffered any from my neglect, if anything she has learned for this experience. When she was young and throughout her high school years I said her middle name was "aim to please". Amber "Aim to Please" Armstrong. She was a delight and I truly don't remember having teenage spats and problems with her. Guess what - she hasn't changed a bit! She is the busy kool-aid mom with room for everyone and a good time for all. We were moving them into their house, she had 3 little kids and had to stop in the middle to cook dinner for a lady in her past ward who had just had a baby. I would have been looking for a good excuse and she had one and didn't use it! She truly didn't learn from my example. Her sister, April, gave her a great compliment. She said Amber is "the happiest mom I know". I love that. She has great kids, a wonderful husband and is a terrific wife and mom - and one of the best 4 daughters that I know. I love you Amber Jo !!!
